Printing Guidelines

1. Create your 3D model from scratch or download a file online.

2. Configure your model either with Cura or Prefrorm.

3. Please save your file in both STL format and printable format (UFP or FORM).

4. Upload both STL and UFP/FORM files to the request from and submit your request (TBD).

5. Library staff will go through your print file with you on a 3D printing workstation where you can configure the printing parameters and requirements (such as layer height, in-fill, support, etc.)

6. Library cannot guarantee item quality or stability, nor confidentiality of designs even if the review indicates it might print successfully; the printing is a process subject to mechanical, heating, weather and other conditions outside of Staff's control. Any finishing steps (e.g. sanding, polishing, painting or coloring, etc.) is the responsibility of the user.

7. Library staff will send you an email about the pickup time and location. If you have not received any pickup notification, please contact library staff to make sure your object is ready for pickup. Go to the tab "3D Modeling Resources" to find out how to create your model.
