Time flies—it’s hard to believe June is already here! We hope everyone has accomplished their goals during this busy final season.

As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, we wish you a peaceful and relaxing holiday. For your convenience, the Library’s holiday hours are listed in the Notification section of this newsletter.
端午佳节将至，图书馆祝愿各位师生安康顺遂，假期愉快。节日期间的开放时间已附在本期简报的【通知】栏目中，敬请留意。
Looking back at May, we successfully wrapped up the Spring Session of our 2024-2025 A Walk in the Books event. A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us for this reading feast! Highlights from the session included our Makers Assemble activities—and if you missed the teaser video filmed by our robotic dog, you can still catch it on our Bilibili channel. We also collaborated with the Longgang District Court’s Political Department (Party Committee) and the Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court Youth League Committee to host a reading salon. The review video of Professor Ge Jianxiong’s inspiring lecture is now available on the A Walk in the Books event page.
回顾五月，2024-2025学年"书林漫步"春季场已圆满落幕。感谢每一位参与这场阅读盛宴的读者！本季我们不仅推出了"第四期创客集结号"系列活动（若您错过了机械狗拍摄的预告片，仍可通过B站平台观看），更联合龙岗区法院政治部（机关党委）、院团委与市中级法院团委共同举办了读书沙龙活动。馆长葛剑雄教授在沙龙中的精彩讲座回顾视频，现已上线"书林漫步"活动专区。

大学图书馆将于2025年5月20日至6月11日进行部分区域修缮维护，一楼将封闭（请使用二楼出入口），其他楼层部分区域也将临时封闭，详情参见：图书馆官网通知

香港中文大学（深圳）图书馆"书林漫步·2025春季系列活动"圆满收官 The Library of The CUHK-Shenzhen "A Walk in the Books · 2025 Spring Series" comes to a successful conclusion

深圳，2025年5月19日 – 香港中文大学（深圳）图书馆主办的"书林漫步·2025春季系列活动"于近日圆满落幕。书林漫步作为深圳读书月与世界读书日的重点活动之一，在每学年的秋季学期和春季学期期间举办。 2025年春季展延续了中国古代神话的书林漫步年度主题，聚焦神话传说在当代社会中的新生命与新表达，以“神话传说在现代的文化延伸”为主题，通过书展、创客集结号、VR互动、跨界读书会等多元化形式，累计吸引1500余人次参与。Shenzhen, April 27, 2025 - The Library of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) recently concluded its "A Walk in the Books · 2025 Spring Series," a flagship event of Shenzhen Reading Month and World Book Day held biannually during academic semesters. Continuing its annual theme of "Ancient Chinese Mythology," the 2025 spring edition focused on "The Cultural Extension of Myths and Legends in the Modern Era," exploring their contemporary reinterpretation through a book exhibition, the "Makers Assemble" tech program, VR interactions, and cross-disciplinary reading sessions, attracting over 1,500 participants. 书林漫步·2025春季系列活动圆满收官

336 new books are now On Shelf, including 114 titles on Philosophy / Psychology / Religion, 80 on History, 58 on Language / Literature / Journalism, 24 on Science / Computer Science, and 19 on Medical and Health Care.

468 print newspapers and 60 print journals are in the status of On Shelf (April 28, 2025 – May 23, 2025).
