Advanced Accounting

Building upon previous editions of Advanced Accounting, author Debra C. Jeter continues to deliver a balanced and detailed approach to the conceptual and technical aspects of advanced accounting. This new and enhanced edition features more in-depth information about international accounting, the upcoming globalization of accounting standards, changes with FASB's, and the latest developments and differences between U.S. GAAP and IFRS. As always, the text also includes comprehensive coverage of all three methods of consolidated financial reporting (cost, partial equity, complete equity).

Financial Accounting Theory

The book’s primary orientation is toward the accounting standards of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), but most topics reference U.S. accounting standards and standard setting as well. The book does not ignore the institutional structure of financial accounting and standard setting. It features considerable coverage and critical evaluation of financial accounting standards and regulations, such as fair value accounting, financial instruments, reserve recognition accounting, management discussion and analysis, employee stock options, impairment tests, hedge accounting, derecognition, consolidation, and comprehensive income.

Financial Accounting with International Financial Reporting Standards

While there is growing interest in IFRS within the US, interest outside the US has exploded. Weygandt’s Financial Accounting: IFRS highlights the integration of more US GAAP rules, a desired feature as more foreign companies find the United States to be their largest market. The highly anticipated new edition retains each of the key features (e.g. TOC, writing style, ) on which users of Weygandt Financial have come to rely, while putting the focus on international companies/examples, discussing financial accounting principles and procedures within the context of IFRS, and problems that present students with foreign currency examples instead of solely U.S. dollars.

Managerial Accounting

Garrison has helped guide close to 3 million students through managerial accounting since it was first published. It identifies the three functions managers must perform within their organizations - plan operations, control activities, and make decisions - and explains what accounting information is necessary for these functions, how to collect it, and how to interpret it.
