Course Description

The course examines the relationship between individual psychological functioning and cultural contexts by studying both between culture variability as well as within culture variability. Many psychological processes that were once considered human universals actually vary significantly across cultures. This course will focus on the effects that cultural traditions and social practice have on human cognition, motivation, emotion, and social interactions.
