In 2023, the Eighty-First World Science Fiction Convention began in Chengdu, marking a year dedicated to Chinese science fiction. During this time, the Library of CUHK-Shenzhen launched the "A Walk in the Books" series, centred around Liu Cixin's "The Wandering Earth," themed "The Future." The series included a book exhibition, lectures, and participant submissions, encouraging library users to explore new trends and ideas. The series aimed to promote science fiction culture, technological innovation, and social harmony. Additionally, academic science popularization activities were launched to explore the theme's academic value. The series provided a deeper understanding of the future world, injecting new energy into science fiction culture and technological innovation.
