Financial technology (FinTech) is revolutionary and rapidly changing the financial services industries. The objective of this course is to introduce students to the theory and practice of Fintech. This course covers the applications of new technologies in financial services such as big data, blockchain, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). Students are expected to develop a broad understanding of the recent FinTech developments and the new forms of financial services such as peer-to-peer lending and crowdfunding, robo-advisors, InsurTech and cryptocurrencies.
